Return of quality products

Turismapasaule.lv buyer ("Buyer"), who is a natural person, in accordance with Regulation No.207 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia, has the right, without giving any reasons, within 14 (fourteen) calendar days to reject the Goods if they have not been used, damaged or their appearance has not changed substantially, i.e. only such changes have been made to the appearance of the goods or their packaging as were necessary to inspect the goods received. The Buyer must exercise this right responsibly and return the Goods in their original and correct packaging and all parts of the Goods. The Buyer shall bear the cost of returning the Goods.

  1. In certain cases specified by the Seller, quality Goods may also be returned within a longer period.
  2. Upon return of the Goods, the Buyer shall be liable for any diminution in the value of the Goods resulting from operations not necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the Goods.
  3. On receipt of the returned Goods and having assessed their quality, the Seller shall, within 14 (fourteen) days of the return of the Goods, refund to the Buyer the price of the Goods exclusive of delivery costs. If a different method of return was chosen from that offered by the Seller, resulting in disproportionate and higher costs, the Seller shall not be obliged to cover such return costs.
  4. The Goods must be returned in their original packaging (with instructions and warranty card, if these documents were supplied with the Goods).
  5. The Buyer is responsible for the assembly of the returned Goods. If the Goods are not complete, the Seller will not accept the returned Goods.
  6. The Buyer cannot exercise the right to return Goods purchased in the online shop if:
    1. The Goods are made to the Buyer's specifications or the Goods are clearly personalised (adapted to the Buyer's personal needs);
    2. The Goods are perishable or about to expire;
    3. The Buyer has opened the packaging of the Goods which cannot be returned for health and hygiene reasons;
    4. The Goods are irretrievably mixed with other items due to their characteristics after delivery;
    5. The Buyer has opened the packaging of an audio or video recording or computer software;
    6. newspapers, periodicals or magazines are delivered, unless they are delivered under a subscription contract.
  7. The right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 (fourteen) days without giving reasons does not apply to legal persons (entrepreneurs).

Product quality

  1. Product photographs are for illustrative purposes only, original products may differ from those shown. The photographs shown cannot be used as a basis for any claim. A product shall be deemed to be in conformity if it corresponds to the sample, model or description provided in the online shop.
  2. In the event of delivery of Goods of substandard quality, the Buyer may contact [email protected].
  3. The duration of the warranty service is between 7 and 30 calendar days. In exceptional cases where Goods are sent to a warranty service centre in another EU country, the warranty service process may take between 14 and 70 calendar days, depending on the nature of the Goods. Please note that in all cases we endeavour to complete the warranty service process in the shortest possible time.
  4. The manufacturer's warranty obligation is only valid if the terms of use of the Product have not been breached. Before using the Goods, the Buyer must carefully read the instructions for use of the Goods, if any.
  5. Goods not collected from the Warranty Service Centre and/or the Seller and returned for warranty service shall be stored for 3 (three) months. This period shall start to run from the first notification to the Buyer via the contact details (telephone, e-mail address, etc.) provided by the Buyer that the Goods returned from the Warranty Service Centre are available for collection by the Buyer. If the Buyer does not receive the Goods within the specified period, the Seller shall have the right to no longer store the Goods and the Goods may be disposed of. In such event, the Seller shall not be liable for any loss incurred by the Buyer in connection with such disposal of the Goods not received.
  6. The Seller's warranty does not limit the Buyer's rights under law in the event of the purchase of goods or services of substandard quality. Disputes concerning the quality, return and other terms of sale of the Goods shall be settled in accordance with the procedure set out in the Conditions of Sale and Purchase and on the basis of the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
  7. Disputes between the Buyer and the Seller shall be settled by mutual negotiations. If the Seller refuses to satisfy the Buyer's complaint or the Buyer disagrees with the solutions offered by the Seller and determines that its rights or interests have been violated, the Buyer may file a complaint with the Consumer Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution Commission, which resolves consumer disputes.

Goods of inadequate quality or incomplete assembly

  1. A Buyer who wishes to complain about Goods that are not of satisfactory quality or are incomplete may do so by email to [email protected].
  2. When making a complaint, the Buyer must provide the following information:
    1. The order number of the Goods;
    2. The defect, signs of damage or missing part of the Goods;
    3. Provide other evidence such as a photograph of the Goods, a photograph of the defect (if it is a mechanical defect and can be photographed), a photograph of the packaging of the Goods, etc.
  3. When submitting a complaint, the Buyer must indicate one of the ways of resolving the complaint:
    1. The Seller must remedy the non-conformity of the Goods - the defects - within a reasonable time, free of charge, if the defects can be remedied;
    2. reduce the purchase price accordingly;
    3. replace the Goods with analogous Goods of the same quality, unless the defects are minor or caused by the Buyer;
    4. cancel the Contract and refund to the Buyer the amount paid for the Goods if the sale of Goods of inadequate quality constitutes a material breach of the order.
  4. The Buyer shall have 14 (fourteen) days in which to respond to the claim. In the event of a refund, the Seller shall refund to the Buyer the price of the Goods and the costs of delivery. If only part of the Goods is returned, the delivery charges shall be refunded only if the remaining Goods of the same order would have been subject to a lower tariff if purchased separately than the tariff applicable if the Goods were purchased together with the Goods to be returned, and only to an amount equal to the difference between the said tariffs.

Damaged parcel

  1. Check the quality of your home delivery in the presence of the courier. If you find that it is damaged:
    1. tell the courier who delivered the Goods;
    2. note on the delivery note that the packaging is damaged and fill in the Packaging Damage (Inspection) Certificate with the courier;
    3. inspect the Goods inside the packaging and, if damaged, record the damage with photographs. The photographs will be necessary for the return procedure.
  2. If the packaging is not damaged, it is not necessary to inspect the Goods in the presence of the courier. If you accept the parcel and sign the documents, it is assumed that the parcel has been delivered in a proper manner.
