The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Electric Sharpener is the highly successful result of a collaboration between Work Sharp specialists and renowned knife maker Ken Onion, responsible among other things for the invention of the “SpeedSafe” blade unfolding assistance system.

The goal of the collaboration with Ken Onion, was to develop a new platform for sharpening knives and tools, with expanded functions and increased versatility of applications. The combination of Work Sharp's technology and Ken Onion's industrial design resulted in an advanced knife and tool sharpener, sharpening in a simple yet highly precise and repeatable manner.

Special functions of the sharpener:

• precisely adjustable guide that allows sharpening from 15° to 30° (per side)
• high-quality flexible abrasive belts create an extremely even cutting edge that maintains perfect sharpness for a long time
• an electric motor with variable speed control makes it possible to carry out every stage of sharpening, from grinding to polishing.

An extremely useful feature is the ability to adjust the speed of the motor. This facilitates full control over the blade at each stage of sharpening and ensures optimal belt speed in relation to the task at hand, from grinding and deburring to smoothing and polishing.

A key role in the sharpening process is played by flexible, wide abrasive belts (19 X 305 mm), which sharpen virtually any shape and type of blade at a constant angle.

During sharpening, the knife is dragged along a guide whose inclination is adjustable from 15° to 30°, thus enabling sharpening at the selected (fixed) angle that best suits our needs.
