The Work Sharp Angle Set is an adjustable sharpening system equipped with rotating diamond-ceramic rods, allowing knives to be sharpened at 5 fixed angles.
The Work Sharp Angle Set is a versatile hand sharpener that uses Tri-brasive technology to allow for instant change of sharpening angle and abrasive surface gradation.
This innovative system allows you to sharpen knives with smooth and serrated cutting edges, kitchen knives, filleting knives and workshop tool blades, making it the perfect choice for every knife enthusiast and user, eliminating the need to purchase additional whetstones.
Modular design
The Work Sharp Angle Set consists of two key elements: a polymer box that serves as a base and a rotating sharpening module.
The system can be disassembled and reassembled very quickly. Simply lift the cover flaps, remove the triangular sharpening system and fix it at the desired angle on the magnetic guides with 5 defined angles.
The process of preparing the sharpener for use takes only a few seconds, and the whetstone takes up little space when folded, which also allows it to be used in the field. Stability of operation is ensured by rubber feet, which prevent the sharpener from moving on a smooth surface.
Sharpener - how to use it?
The most important factors affecting the quality and efficiency of sharpening are selecting the right angle and maintaining it (control) during grinding.
Work Sharp has created an extremely simple and efficient system that allows you to select and quickly change the sharpening angle depending on the type and purpose of the knife. In addition, the sharpener allows you to sharpen with diamond and ceramic rods of different grades.
The symmetrical Tri-brasiv sharpening module consists of 2 rotating sharpening rods connected in the shape of an inverted V. The rods are not locked and rotate 360°, which facilitates quick change of the sharpening grade without the need to replace the stones as is the case with similar sharpening systems.
Adjusting the sharpening angle is even easier - just place the guide in the magnetic guides mentioned above.
The Work Sharp Angle Set also comes with a conical ceramic rod, which is designed for sharpening prongs of various sizes. The ceramic rod can be mounted on top of the sharpener or used on its own.
Sharpening surfaces
- Diamond-coated plate with a coarse gradation for working sharpness
- Diamond-coated plate with a fine gradation for polishing and quick re-sharpening
- Plate with a ceramic stone with a fine gradation for polishing and very high sharpness
- conical ceramic rod for sharpening serrated knives
Sharpening angles
The user has 5 predefined angles (every 2.5°) most commonly used in knives at their disposal, i.e.: 15°, 17.5°, 20°, 22.5° and 25°.
This functionality allows you to sharpen virtually any type of knife, from kitchen knives, folding knives for everyday use, hunting knives, to survival knives and tools.
The sharpening angle can be adjusted to your preference. It is worth remembering that a blade with a higher sharpening angle will stay sharp longer, but will cut less precisely and aggressively than an edge ground at an angle of e.g. 20°.
- 15°- 17°: kitchen knives, filleting knives, precision cutting tools,
- 20-22.5°: EDC knives, pocket knives,
- 25°: large EDC folders, hunting knives, outdoor knives, tactical knives, survival knives, heavy-duty tools
