The Walther FTK XXL is an outdoor tool with a length of almost 440 mm, which fills the gap between a knife and a machete. The Walther FTK XXL has a robust full tang design, which means that the knife is made of one piece of steel. The knife has a massive 205 mm blade made of hardened 440C stainless steel. The 440C stainless steel blade is resistant to wear and corrosion and retains its sharpness for a long time. Even a survival beginner can sharpen this steel, which is why it is an excellent choice for a field knife. Due to its durability, the knife is recommended for heavy work not only by survival and bushcraft enthusiasts, but also by soldiers and hunters.
The smooth blade at the front of the blade is perfect for grubbing and chopping wood. The serrated blade can handle cutting fibrous and hard material, and the hook is ideal for cutting roots and branches. A fuller runs along the entire length of the blade, which reduces weight and has a decorative function. Thanks to this functionality, the Walther FTK XXL is a full-fledged tool for field work that can handle even the toughest tasks.
The knife handle is made of two materials: resistant G10 laminate (double-sided hand guard to protect the hand from sliding onto the blade) and walnut wood, which is used for the profiled linings. There is a hole in the protruding pin that allows for a cord or strap to be woven in.
The knife can be safely carried on a belt in a nylon sheath with press studs.
